Terms of Use

These terms govern use of this private court-reference resource. By visiting, browsing, or using a feature on the site, a visitor accepts these terms. Do not continue using the site if they are not accepted.

NO FCRA USE. Isabella County Court Docket is privately operated and has no affiliation with a government agency or court. It is not a consumer reporting agency. No content or partner service may be used for a Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose, including decisions about credit, employment, tenant screening, or insurance.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent information resource that directs visitors to official routes for Isabella County court dockets, case records, court dates, and clerk services. It does not operate a court, hold official case files, file documents, or control judicial calendars.

The relevant official record keepers are the Isabella County Trial Court divisions and their clerks. MiCOURT and other official systems have their own terms and access limits.

2. Informational Use Only

Content is offered for general reference. It is not legal advice, an official docket, a court order, or a guaranteed current statement of a case. A person should confirm an important fact with the court or clerk that maintains the record.

3. Rules for Using This Site

Visitors agree not to:

  • Use the site in violation of applicable law
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or harm another person with information found here
  • Use information for an FCRA-regulated eligibility decision
  • Attempt to bypass security or access restricted systems
  • Run automated extraction, scraping, or disruptive tools against the site
  • Interfere with another visitor’s access to the resource

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Neither this resource nor its advertising or referral partners supplies consumer reports, background checks, credit reports, or an eligibility-screening service. You may not use site content or a linked tool to make a decision about employment, housing, credit, insurance, licensing, benefits, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

  • Do not make a hiring or employment decision
  • Do not make a housing or tenant-screening decision
  • Do not set credit or insurance eligibility
  • Do not determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Do not use the information for another FCRA-regulated purpose

5. No Legal Advice

The site does not provide legal counsel, representation, or strategy. Court staff can describe their record-access process but also cannot give legal advice. A lawyer is the appropriate source for legal questions, deadlines, or the effect of a court action.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Courts can revise hours, fees, contacts, public interfaces, hearing settings, and access policies. A docket can change through a filing, order, adjournment, correction, seal, dismissal, or other court action. The site may contain omissions or outdated information, and no result is warranted as complete. Verify a record or court date directly with the court.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to court portals, county offices, state resources, or outside services. Those destinations are independently operated. Their availability, prices, privacy rules, terms, and search results are outside this site’s control. Review their policies before submitting information or making a payment.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, branding, and code on this site are owned by Isabella County Court Docket or its licensors unless another source is identified. They may not be reproduced, adapted, distributed, or used to create a competing service without written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Isabella County Court Docket is not liable for losses, decisions, or damages arising from use of the resource, its information, or an external service reached through it.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the site operator harmless from a claim, demand, liability, cost, or expense arising from your misuse of the site or a violation of these terms, including reasonable legal costs where law permits.

11. Governing Law

Michigan law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Michigan court-record access is separately governed by court rules, including MCR 8.119 and MCR 1.109. Michigan FOIA does not replace that framework for judiciary-held court files.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised by posting an updated version on this page. Continued use after posting means the revised terms apply to that use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you look up a case or docket for me?

No. Use Docket Search or contact the clerk that maintains the case.

Can you change or confirm my court date?

No. Only the responsible court can set, change, or confirm a hearing. Consult the Court Schedule and verify a time-sensitive setting with that court.

Is a docket entry on a linked tool official?

Public portal information can help locate a case, but the court or clerk that holds the file is the official source.

Where do I ask a question about these terms?

Use the contact information on the Contact page.
